In last week’s episode, I shared with you the concept of a growth mindset and that you are either winning or learning through life’s experiences.
As a followup in this episode, I share with you a personal story about my little lemon tree and how it has helped me keep a growth mindset. Often, growth is internal and can’t be easily measured. However, it still has great value.
Listen in for a loving reminder -especially during this difficult season of COVID-19 – that growth is not always linear.
In Today’s Episode We Discuss:
- How a lemon tree has been a great learning lesson for me
- Why growth is not always visible
- Why internal growth is just as valuable as external
- How to look back and review past experiences that have helped you grow
- Judging yourself harshly and the damage it can do
- Being proud of progress regardless of visibility
I hope after tuning in, you will be able to spot the situations in your life where you are actually experiencing growth that may not be easily seen. For anyone that doesn’t feel like they are growing right now, please remember the little lemon tree. This life is meant to be a learning journey, and you have to grow the roots before you can harvest the fruit of your hard work.
