How do you show up as a leader? Have you paused to make sure that you are presenting yourself in a way that is in line with your values?
In this episode, I am joined by Judy Farrell, and we are chatting all about self-awareness and how it makes us more effective as leaders.
Judy is a professional leadership coach with a passion for multiplying her impact on this world by investing in service-oriented leaders. She served nine years in the US Navy where she spent the last three teaching leadership courses across the country. Since she transitioned from the Navy in 2013, she has been wholeheartedly developing nonprofit and other leaders actively or seeking to make a positive social impact.
In Today’s Episode We Discuss:
- What it means to be self-aware
- The different types of self-awareness
- How power and authority can change you
- The importance of defining success for yourself
- Why you need to define and live inside of your core values
- How to become more self-aware
- Why you should seek quality feedback
Judy believes that great leaders are self-aware, and I couldn’t agree more. It is so important for those that follow you to see you for who you really are!
Remember, it is worth the investment in yourself and in all of those people who you are leading to actually invest the time in becoming more self-aware.
I really hope you got a lot of value out of this conversation with Judy and you are encouraged to pause to make sure that you are presenting yourself in a way that is in line with your values. Don’t forget to download her “Defining My Values” worksheet below!
