It can be easy to get overwhelmed with your health as a woman – especially as you get older. However, I truly believe that women should take an empowered and active role in maintaining their health. One of the important things to understand is the role that your hormones play in your health and energy levels. Today, I am so thrilled to chat with an expert on hormonal health – Dr. Erin Kinney.
Dr. Kinney is a Naturopathic Doctor, coach, and speaker who helps stressed-out women improve their mood, balance their hormones, and increase their energy. She is incredibly passionate about teaching women to understand WHY stress causes so many problems in the body and HOW they can change their response to stress so they can take back control in both their bodies and their lives. She runs a private practice in Annapolis, Maryland, where she specializes in treating women with PMS, PMDD, perimenopause, menopause, and all the associated symptoms that can occur when hormones are out of balance.
In today’s episode, Dr. Kinney and I chat about hormone health and energy and how acute, chronic stress impacts your body.
In Today’s Episode, We Discuss:
- How your menstrual cycle can impact hormone lab tests
- The different types of estrogen depending on your season of life
