Social media – especially Instagram – has become such an important part of building a business and connecting with groups of like-minded people. I have worked so hard to build my own online presence as I have grown my business, and there are so many other business owners that I follow and admire that have taught me how to build an engaging Instagram community.
One person I really admire is Kristin Gulitz from @hapahomecooking. Cooking has always been a passion for Kristin. She looks at her cooking style as a cross between Rachael Ray and Ina Garten by mixing the simple every day and then taking the extra step- especially when entertaining. Hapa Homecooking started with recipe demonstrations on Instagram for friends and family and has grown into a full-blown food blog!
Kristin has built one of my favorite Instagram accounts and foodie communities. I am so excited to chat with her about how she built her engaging social media presence so quickly.
In Today’s Episode We Discuss:
- How Kristin built an Instagram community in only one year
- Why it’s important to have an authentic connection with your followers
- How making people feel welcome in a community is so important
- How Kristin uses money from paid Instagram ads for philanthropy
- Why numbers aren’t everything on Instagram
I hope you take away a few social media tips from my chat with Kristin in this episode. I know that I’ve learned so much about how to build an engaging Instagram community that I plan to use in my own accounts in the future.
